Knights of the Miraculous Medal

Tomorrow, Tuesday September 23, the 40 Days for Life Campaign will kick off on Parliament Hill at 7PM. To date, we still have many time slots to fill, but over the last few days, there has been more and more interest from both individuals and church communities. We will continue to hope and pray that the momentum continues to build and the Lord blesses our faith and work in this critical initiative to end the holocaust of abortion in Canada and throughout North America.

Although many more people will continue to participate in the vigil as the campaign continues, we will still need extraordinary sacrifice from the few to fill in those time slots that remain unfilled, especially in the early morning hours.

In order to meet this need, I am calling out all Catholic men who are participating in this campaign to stand where there is a need. This group will be responsible for ensuring that not one hour will fall unattended during the entire 40 day campaign. This means that you would be willing to be called upon to fill in vacancies (subject to family and work committments, of course).

Because of the overwhelming nature of this spiritual battle, we need the special intervention of the "Woman", the one who will crush Satan's head. Thus, we, the Knights of the Miraculous Medal, entrust our efforts to the Blessed Mother's special protection. As a symbol of this entrustment we pledge to wear the Miraculous Medal, and to recite the rosary while we are doing the vigil.

If you are willing to join our little "band of brothers" to help share the burden, please contact me at pacheco377@gmail.com.

Regards in the Lord,

John Pacheco
